WHAT DO YOU DO?
I’m a motion graphics designer, living and working in Buenos Aires, Argentina (at the moment). I am lucky enough to be able to work on a very wide arrange of projects, from classic branding and motion pieces for different kinds of media, to massive visuals for shows and tours. I have also worked a little on VR projects and lately i’m enjoying a lot being able to express a more fun side of my work though my Instagram account.
WHY ARE YOU DOING IT?
I’ve been doing this for over 18 years now, so at this point I guess I can say it’s the only thing I know how to do. Besides that, I’ve always been in love with the profession, and since it’s always evolving, you need to evolve with it and learn and try new things, so it’s never boring.
WHAT / WHO INFLUENCES YOU?
So many things. Human motion, above all I guess. I have always found wonderful the things we do with our bodies. Everything from walking to the most complex acrobatics are fascinating to me. Besides that, I’m really enjoying playing with some sort of uncanny valley on my latest animations. Using photorreal 3D scans and textures combined with really exaggerated jelly-like physics is something that I’ve been wanting to explore for a while, and I love how people responds to that (usually they’re very grossed out)
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?
My goals are the same as always: continue working and improving my skills, keep things as fresh and fun as possible, and of course, make a decent living out of it. Other than that, and speaking in the short term, i want to continue trying to get a reaction from people trough my animation work.
The latest series I’ve worked on, have been super satisfying in a very unexpected way. I really enjoy how people react to these pieces, and my immediate goal is to continue making people uncomfortable, and if possible, to make them laugh.
