Jeremy Blincoe
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I create photographs, usually working towards a new series of images with a common thread/narrative to exhibit.
I also create commission’s for advertising agencies and tutor at a photography school.
WHY ARE YOU DOING IT?
I find it immensely fulfilling, it allows me to retain a child like sense of curiosity and gives me a purpose to travel, explore and meet interesting people.
WHAT / WHO INFLUENCES YOU?
I try to draw influence from as many sources as possible. Key influences would be: books, science, nature, friends, movies and music.
I just finished rereading Oscar Wilde’s De Profundis, an amazing book.
My favourite website, which is a large distraction in my life is www.brainpickings.org.
I just watched Ai Wei Wei Never Sorry, his passion and the fact he would lay his life on the line to create change in his country is incredibly inspiring.
In terms of music, I have been listening to a whole bunch of Kenderick Lamar.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?
Continually grow, both as an artist and as a Human, experiment and to search for ways to further refine my craft and further articulate my voice through my work.
To exhibit and create/explore internationally is also a big goal of mine.
